After many years of an enjoyable association with WSB-FM 98.5, Suzi concluded her radio show "Change Your Mind, Change Your Life" with a final broadcast in early 2010. "The mission of my radio show was the same as that of my private practice. First, to educate listeners on the up-to-date psychological research and treatment of brain disorders and other emotional/mental issues. Second, to decrease stigma or shame related to these issues through powerful examples of inspiration, integrity and recovery from brain disorders. My personal testament and professional passion for the healing powers of psychology and spirituality grew out of a quarter of a century of experience as a therapist who is also a recovering addict and a survivor of Bipolar type II. Initially, I resisted what seemed like God’s nudging to expose my personal brain disorders, but eventually gave in and have felt more professional and personal integrity ever since. I have great compassion for family members and clients who struggle with any of the brain disorders, and hope my life, my show, and my clinical practice are examples of healing, recovery and success. I want my radio show to help you better understand how to live a joyous and happy life." |

| These are some shows I'm sure you will
enjoy. Some have unedited "pre-show" comments that are hilarious. Click
on the guest name to select. Charles Allen MSW, discusses why people make bad choices. His interesting theory is related to how the ego conflicts with our sense of integrity. Dr. Amy Baker describes how a parent turns a child against the other parent in "Parental Alienation Syndrome". Dr. Linda Martinez-Lewi's book, "Freeing Yourself From the Narcissist in Your Life", presents the symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, ways to recognize a narcissist, and how and why to avoid being involved with one. Dewey Sadka is a designer, artist and entrepeneur who developed the Dewey Color System, a wonderful personality test based on color. John Frey I LOVE JOHN FREY!! His books are extremely helpful and valid even though he embellished and exaggerated. Too bad he didn’t just say so in the title of "A Million Pieces". We had a great connection and I'm so glad he continued to write. Click John Frey 2nd half to catch the second half of the show. Ann Lamott is a famous alcoholic/writer. This part of the show starts with her reading a passage from "Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith". Great writer, excellent books. |
